The idea of self-help is quite ironic
Especially when the self is often missing.
Help flows freely and in abundance.
But sadly it doesn't stem from within.
In the quest to solve our problems,
We chase the whole wide world.
But forget to acknowledge the world within
That is screaming within with solutions abound.
The solution is simple.
But easy doesn't deserve our attention.
We insist life is tough.
And only complexity is around.
Our reasons are flawed.
So are our attempts to change.
Self-help isn't the issue.
The issue is to keep finding the issue.
Change happens at the drop of a hat
Haven't you learned nothing from your anger?
Is your want strong enough
To persist at any cost, be it up or down?
If toughness is your belief.
Then don't you see ease on the other side too?
Maybe it's high time to befriend the other
And see where it will take you around?
